Our family business started in the hospitality industry when we logged the wood for the first cottage from our own forest in spring 1992. The history of our estate goes back 400 years and our first sauna by the lake has been in use for 70 years. The Mankala rapids were featured in the first travel film about Finland, released in 1911.

Over the last two decades our family has built up an authentic and unique place on the shores of Kettujärvi lake. Nature, history and customers’ desires and requirements have played a central role in our expansion. Our newest holiday home, the luxury villa Auringonsilta is both heated and cooled with geothermal energy. The resourcefulness of your host can be clearly seen in the one-of-a-kind moss sauna.
